Mission
The mission of the HEB ISD Education Foundation is to raise and award private funds and community resources to support the HEB ISD’s commitment to excellence in education. The Foundation, established in 1995, is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization guided by a volunteer board of directors who have a sincere interest in the success of our students and staff.
Caring citizens, elected officials, educators, parents, alumni, corporate partners, and business leaders, demonstrate support of the HEB ISD through their participation in the good work of the Foundation. Please join us.

Empowered to Excel Grants
To date, the Foundation has raised and awarded more than $643,850 to our deserving HEB ISD classrooms and campuses, funding a diverse array of needs identified by our educators. This year's grant winners included innovative initiatives like on-demand instruction using a flipped classrooms, mobile learning to engage the digital generation, read and ride learning bikes, and funding for the TRiO program’s PSAT testing for all 9th graders. The HEB ISD Education Foundation awarded 19 grant awards totaling $55,845 for the 2014-2015 academic year. Thank you to all of the different campuses, departments, or teams who applied for funding. HEB ISD Staff Campaign 2014-2015
Thank you to the staff campaign members who have supported the Foundation to date in 2014-2015.
Awards of Excellence
Each spring, the Foundation takes great pride in recognizing outstanding high school seniors from L.D. Bell, Trinity, and KEYS and their teacher mentors through our Awards of Excellence program. This year, we will be expanding our reach to include several fields of study that represent the new programs offered through the Gene A. Buinger Career and Technical Education Academy.
The Cornerstone Walkway
All single honorary or memorial gifts of $250 and up to the HEB ISD Education Foundation qualify for a commemorative Cornerstone brick at the Pat May Center, in addition to recognition as a White Circle Member of our Superintendent’s Circle of Giving. 150 new bricks will complete Phase I of the Cornerstone Walkway and raise important funds for our mission. Honor or memorialize someone special and earn a Cornerstone brick today!
