Propositions Pass, Board Members Re-Elected Saturday

The Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD held the first bond election in 14 years on Saturday, May 14, successfully passing both proposals. Proposition 1 passed with 75 percent of voter support and Proposition 2 passed with 63 percent of voter support.

Dr. Buinger, superintendent of schools, said the credit for the successful bond election goes to a broad base of supporters.

"First of all, we want to thank the voters," he said. "Our voters came from all walks of life, including parents, employees, retired employees, business leaders, community volunteers, and many others. We had a very active and dedicated group of volunteers who represented "Vote Yes HEB ISD" and they were instrumental in spreading the word and getting out the vote.

This is wonderful news, and this bond package will impact the students of HEB ISD for years to come."

In addition, HEB ISD Board of Trustees members Andy Cargile and Mark Cyrier were re-elected to their positions, and they will continue to serve the District in their board roles.
